Trophy carp, an experience of a lifetime

Merenye Fishing Lake is one of the most famous boilie fishing waters in our country. It is the venue for numerous domestic and international boilie competitions. We welcome you and your family for an unforgettable fishing experience!

A fishing experience that lasts a lifetime…

Merenye – The Pearl of Baranya

The reservoir has 120 hectares of fishable open water surface. Its average depth is 2.5 meters, and the lakebed is snag-free, forming a consistent, silt-free surface. All fishing spots at the lake are accessible by vehicle, but this is weather-dependent due to the dirt roads.

Directions: 11 km after Szigetvár towards Barcs, traveling on Route 6, turn right immediately after Görösgál. From there, the last junction is reached via a 5 km paved road through the village of Merenye; turning right there, the lake becomes visible. The entire area of the lake is considered private property, and the entrance is gated.

Merenye – The Pearl of Baranya

Undisturbed Relaxation – Great Catches

One of the best and perhaps most famous boilie fishing lakes in the country, Merenye Fishing Lake’s reputation is well-known among domestic anglers for a reason. If visitors arrive for several days, fishing doesn’t have to be the only focus, as nearby Szigetvár and Merenye itself hold surprises. You can visit historical sites, and the nearby thermal bath also offers active relaxation for visitors.

WHAT ELSE DO WE OFFER? – We also warmly welcome guests arriving with dogs at our fishing lake. To protect the condition of the lake and the water quality, we place a high priority on continuous shoreline protection, the maintenance of fishing spots, and keeping the entire lake area clean. For our guests staying for several days, we provide shower facilities in the shower located by the snack bar. Restrooms placed every 150–200 meters throughout the fishing lake area make the fishing experience more comfortable.

Anyone longing for peace, quiet, and giant fish should visit here; you won’t be disappointed.

For phone bookings, call (+36) 70 / 214 – 4366, every weekday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Merenye Fishing Lake is among the SZÉP Card accepting locations, so we also accept payment via SZÉP Card! Inquire about details via email or phone!
